Default i've got an advanced cam question...!

alright i've got a 370ci twin (t60's) turbo 6.0 motor here. now the cam i have is an MTI T1...specs are 221/221 561/561 112lsa. now when i install the cam in my motor dot to dot and then i degree the cam...i end up with a 115 intake center line...on the cam sheet it says that the cam should be installed on a 108 intake centerline so in order to get it to be 108 i have to advance the crank +4 as my cam gear does not have an adjustment. i called MTI and asked them about this they said do it dot to dot. my engine builder and good friend said put it on 108 and brian at wheel to wheel also said put it at 108 if that's what the cam card says. another one of my engine builder buddies said he wouldn't go past 110 so do +2. so i am torn as on what to do. i'm pry gonna leave it because w2w says so. they told me it will have more low end which is fine with the turbos making up in the big end. i'm only spinning the motor to about 6500rpms. please give me your opinions and yes...i know this is not a turbo cam but its what i had laying around...thanks

Question

I almost POSITIVE that cam is supposed to be ground with 4 degrees of advance... If so installing dot to dot would yield the 108ICL. If you are certain you degreed it correctly and still come up with 115ICL dot to dot the cam is not ground correctly. Id get another....Are you absolutely certain what you have is a T1??? Sounds like it could be the stealth cam....

i agree with you but they will not take the cam back...i literally bought it over 3 years ago when this cam was considered to be the biggest and baddest in a A4 car. i ran the cam in my my aluminum 346 setup dot to dot and i was running 7.80's in the 1/8th cam only. so i don't see that there could be something wrong with the cam unless its just always been wrong. wouldn't my car have ran like total crap with it on a 115lsa? could it be my new timing gear set is whack? its a JP performance double roller that i got off ebay. i've never heard of the brand to be honest...maybe its just and i got what i paid for?
