Default Best HARDCORE CAM for Daily driving/racing

My mods are in my sig. I am wanting a cam with a lot of midrange power and a lot up top. I want a 112 LSA for the idle but other than that I am open to your opinions. I like the F13 and F14 and the TSP MS3 but would like to hear what you all have to say. This car will be driven daily 30 HW miles and about 10 city miles but I am 20 years old and can handle it if its a "rough" daily driver. My goal for the car is something that sounds wicked at a stop light and proves it when it turns green and can scream on the highway. Let me know what you all think!

EDIT: I plan on adding a 150 shot of N20 by the end of the summer and a Moser 12 bolt and some sort of aftermarket heads by next spring if that matters.

"TRex" from Thunder Racing ----> sponsor

dont think you can get much more "hardcore" than that and not have to modify your engine (i.e. flycut pistons)

Oh, and lets NOT make this another debate about "drivablility" Its a big cam, we know what goes along with that.

i agree with the T-rex. i have it in my daily driver and the only thing you go through is gas and clutches other then that you cannot get a more violent cam for the untouched short block

Which Thunder racing cam is more aggressive? The T-Rex or T-Rak? How much power can those cam's alone add to a car with the mods in my sig? Where is the power band at with those cams?

T-rex, MS3, g5x4 are not a good match for your stall N/A. It would be good on the hose, but you'll want a bigger stall on motor. I'd look at something a little smaller for several reasons. The first I already mentioned, 2nd, you'll be spinning the motor pretty high, then adding heads, and spray, not too easy on a stock short block. You will also run into P-V clearence issues with bigger valves, will probably end up needing to flycut, and again, spray on notched stock pistons is not something I would want on a daily driver.

This is the stall the guys at Fuddle reccommended for the MS3 cam. They said it will stall up to 3800 with the cam. What stall would you reccommend with the T-Rex, G5X4 and MS3? Also, is the powerband of the T-Rex and G5X4 the same as the MS3? Who makes the G5X4?

I'm going MS3, with that stall size you should be fine with some 3.42's or 3.73's. I might even go 4.10's.

Well I just had my stall reset to 4000 and I am thinking I am going to go ahead with the TRex. What other valvetrain mods should I purchase along with it? I think I will put 3.73s in it, I think 4.10s might be a little much for me because I will be on the HW quite a bit. Thanks for the replys.

MS3!!
A little smaller and more drivable on a daily basis than a T-Rex.
