Just did a set of AFR205s (59cc) and a G5X3 (114lsa) for a buddy. LG told us to cut .080 on the intake side only and we did... I think you can run the same cam with 66cc AFRs and not flycut. Also, we used Cometic .045 head gaskets...

To much. like .170"
The exhaust clears by a mile and the int has about .100". A lesson learned I guess. I'm very confident that it will be OK. TSP said they cut the same amount on a car and sprayed it with a 200 shot. It held up for two years before trashing a rod. So I should be ok.
Heres some pics.

I think you might clear with a 62cc and I know it would with 66cc's. I'm using a stock gasket because it came with the gasket kit. And TEA told me to use a stock gasket.

As far as gears, I would run a 3.73 if I were you.

The cam should be ok for a DD once tuned properly.

Hi all,

I have ordered AFR 205 66cc with the G5X3-114
Do you think the GM Multi-Layer Steel LS1/LS6 Cylinder Head Gasket is good ?? or THE Cometic Gaskets will be better ??! please tel me what is the thickness and bore I need it with the G5x3 and AFR 66cc to take the best way.

and is it the springs which come with heads is good or need change it with G5X3 ?!
and is it COMP 7.400" CHROME MOLY PUSHRODS is the right choose ??

Thank you,

Ask LG Motorsports what gaskets and push rods to use. The will know better than anyone!
I think you will be very pleased with those heads and cam.

Thank you,
LG normally goes with Comp 921 springs with their G5X2-114 (what I have) and currently have the AFR205cc (milled to 59cc)

I'm running G5X3 on 114 and I'm going with Dart 225's out of the box with a little touch up work. I was told to use stock GM gaskets from Dart part # 12498544 and I will check valve clearance to see if i can mill any,let you know what it Dyno's, Mike Norris is going to tune it next week.
