I would take it all apart and have a look, dropping to 2nd at 95 is very bad. The blinking SES means misfiring. Take off the valve covers and check it out.
How the hell did you downshift like that anyway??

It'll be fine. I've done it more than enough times. My trans is old and tired as well. You most likely bent a pushrod. Mine ran like crap, sputtered, SES light on etc. for a few miles then started running fine again once or twice when i did it.

Yank the valvecovers and rockers and check the pushrods. This happens all the time, so don't worry. Replace the bent pushrods with new STOCK ones. Hardened pushrods and stock valvesprings spells death if this ever happens again.

When you shift into 4th, turn your hand over to where your palm is facing the passenger door and your thumb is pointing at the shift boot. This will help you keep it out of 2nd gear. I started doing this and i never did it again. You have to be conscious about doing it before you run though or you will forget. Now-a-days i just pull on it at a 20* angle toward 6th though, with my hand right on top of it like normal, works fine for me!

See the vids of me at the track for a demo.

pull the pushrods out and find out. Have the code scanned and find out what it is. Also have the code erased. It will come back if the problem is still present. It takes about 15 min to pull the pushrods.

When your MIL flashes it means you tailpipe emissions are bad enough that if you continue to drive without making a repair you're going to damage your cats. The EPA is more concerned with your cat than they are with the condition of you engine.

The misfire codes were coming from #5 . We checked the pushrods and one is strait as can be. The other is slightly off, but not enough to just look at it and say it's bent. Pulled the spark plug and Not bent or melted, but pitch black. the other spark plugs looked fine. What do you guys think? Bent valve or lifter gave out? We are going to put new pushrods and a new spark plug in tommorrow and see what happens.
