Default Need quick answer on TREX cam

with the mods in my sig, would a TREX cam work with my app? i don't want to fly cut my pistons or anything just yet but i am looking for an aggressive cam for my DD mostly for highway power. i'm not concerned with low rpm hp/tq. i can get a brand new in box TREX for $350. i know i need to get springs etc which i planned anyways but please help.

You will def. need to run 4.10 gears if planning a TRex. You should also look into some new lifters which would require pulling the heads and getting new head bolts and head gaskets. You may want to invest in an LS6 oil pump and a double roller timing chain as well. There are a lot of hidden costs in purchasing a cam. Check out Thunder Racings website, it may be more wise to get their cam install kit with your choice of cam and dual springs. Its around 800-900 bucks I think. Then you can start gathering other parts up. Good luck
