cooler spark plug, exhaust smells better?
I just finished switching out my old TR55 spark plugs for some TR6 plugs.
I started it up a few minutes ago, and it runs fine.
One thing I noticed though was that the exhaust didn't stink so much anymore.
Ever since the heads/cam install, my exhaust has reaked no matter how I tuned it.
Tonight, it didn't really stink.
What's that mean?

The gap had widened to .065 on each plug, and they were slightly brown on the white part (not sure what that's called) and a couple had a few tiny black spots on the white part.
Looking at this chart, they were actually slightly browner than the top plug.
And for some reason everyone here seems to think that a heads/cam car with over 11:1 compression doesn't need a cooler plug.

i think it needs a colder plug! you didnt ask me. it never hurts to put colder plugs @ .040 or .035 on your car

Well.... sorta.
Jet hot "cats."
But still.
I gapped the plugs at .045.
Something else interesting enough. Changing the plugs made me have to raise my base running airflow in my tune. The car was surging a little at idle and 1500rpm or less cruise.
It does seem to run slightly better on the TR6 plugs as well .
