Need help desparately with 93 3.4L V6
Not an LS1 issue. I really need help with my brother's 93 3.4L Camaro. My parents are still on dial up and the search is taking forever. We already changed the spark plugs and wires, but the engine still feels like one of them are fouled. There is a strong smell of gas in the exhaust that usually isn't there, and I'm not sure what to look at next-coil packs perhaps? The engine otherwise is stock and has ran fine until last night. It has 110K miles on it and starts up fine. At idle is has a slight stumble, and when driving it gets more noticeable-more so in overdrive than in D. We have a 6 hour drive from PC Fla to Tampa and don't want to have any problems. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Could be anything:
Start by checking the plugs and wires again.
If no dice, a shop with an OBDII diagnostic might help (scan).
Worst case you have a fried cylinder.

if the SES light is on get it read. if its not a wire or plug its probably a bad coil pack get a lot those at work really sounds like a bad plug wire or plug
edit: or possibly corrosion on the contact point between the module and coil pack

coil pack, you can get them at bone yard for cheap in a pinch. they are the same for any of the gm 6 bangers (grand am, prix, ect.ect.ect.) there cheap.
Here is how to check, while the engine running, using plastic plyers, take a wire off the coilpack (any of them) and visually inspect the color intesity of the spark. Is it bright blue/white, or is it a little more dull in looks, less intense compared to the rest of them. Which ever coil pack has the weaker spark, thats the one you replace.
This motor uses "waste-spark" technology, this is where both cylinders on one coil pack will fire, one will fire on the ignition stroke, and the other will fire on the exhaust stroke. You may even find that one wire/coil is not firing at all. Hold the wire close enough to the coil this way the spark will arc from wire to coil, if held to far, you'll get nothing.
Also look for any "burn" marks on the coilpack case. This will indicate the coil is grounding out inside of itself.
I've replaced many of these coilpacks on various gm models.
