Default Cam ideas?

Well I am going to be going with the following parts and wanting to add a cam.. Not sure which one would be best for my setup. I want there to be a good overall powerband..

Mods: SLP Dual/Dual Exhaust
K&N Intake
O/R Y-pipe
Headers [not sure which brand yet, have not purchased]

I am looking at just adding a cam to that setup and leaving it for a lil bit. Eventually I will do Ls6 heads and some spray..

Other than the cam, is there anything else i will need?

depending on the cam id throw in; springs, pushrods, timing chain etc... i would also toss in a new oil pump

how much power do you want to make? cam only cars have gone 360-440+whp. is smog or driveability a concern?

for my ride, this was my thinking
if you are wanting up to ~ 385whp, i would take the tr224
for around to over 400, the fm13
for a more aggressive setup hoping for well over 400, the tsp ms3
these were the cams I considered for my car.
tons of other great cams on the market though

224/228, .581/.588 110+0
You use an adjustable timing chain, run that cam advanced +4 with your stock heads.
When you decide on heads in the future, run a 64cc and .040 gasket with the cam straight up (no advance).

This is not taking emission sniffers into consideration.

(just what are IL emission laws?)
