Default MS3 Cam install straight up or advanced?

Like the title says should I install this cam straight up or advanced? I will be running a 200 shot on this if that matters.

If I install it advanced do I need an adj timing chain or can I use a non adj one? Which Timing chain would you use?

You have to use an adjustable timing set, and from what I understand you do not want too much adavnce when on the hose.

If you don't advance the MS3, your dynamic compression will be horrible. Basically, it will be totally gutless NA.

When running nitrous, the motor responds to an earlier exhaust valve opening (because of the faster burn of nitrous). Here again, advancing the cam will benefit your goal of most power on the hose.

You may want to get a few more opinions before you do that. I would also recommend you download the DCR spreadsheet (sticky in the Advanced Tech Section). You will be surprised how low your DCR will be with 0 advance built into that cam, not to mention how late your intake valve closing point. The late IVC (with 0 advance) is not going to give you the best area under the curve with an LS6 or FAST 90/90 intake manifold (if that's what you plan on running).

If you start advancing that cam you need to check PTV.... FWIW I don't always find more power with making the exhaust valve opening event earlier, i'd rather play with the timing of the spark instead.

Yep, if you decide to advance it, make sure you have plenty of PtoV clearance on the Intake. It barely clears stock pistons at 0 advance, which is exactly why its made like that.
