Default Is my engine in need of fixing

Hey guys, had some questions about my engine.

Here are my noticeable problems

1) Smell of burning oil when coming to a stop occassionally

2) Oil around the throttle body

3) Seems to be burning oil. Put in a little 3 days ago to the middle of the hairs....and now down to almost the bottom of the hairs.

I'm so lost, and just looking for answers

Thanks for helping guys,

Chris

if you are not shooting blue smoke out your pipes (which I am highly doubting) it sounds like your PCV system is taking a ****. Look into the LS6 PCV conversion kit ($150 at TR) and a catch can($55?). Or you can got to ls1howto.com and look at their walkthrough of the whole thing. Very helpful with pictures. I would put money on that is your problem.

I've heard people delete the PCV, and go with breathers

its possible your rings could be wearing, in which case you would be burning the oil through the exhaust, but i dont think you would see it in the TB. like they said its probably your pcv.

there are quite a few people who just delete it. If you search it, there are quite a few threads with pictures that you can look at and read up on.
