While changing my oil I noticed a decent amount of oil around the bottom of the bellhousing/block point. This was the first time I've been under my car since my tranny rebuild 4k miles ago. It seems like a slow leak but it's still a leak. I'm guessing the dudes at the tranny shop somehow stipped the threads in the hole for the bolt in the picture. Just from looking at it, I'm guessing that the threads for this bolt are in the bellhousing somewhere?
How hard would it be to helicoil or re-tap this? I'm sure if I take it back to them and ask them to fix this problem they'll say it wasn't their fault and try to charge me. However, this oil leak wasn't there BEFORE the tranny rebuild.
