Hey all First off I would like to intorduce myself to this board. I come here seeking knowledge of the LS1 engine and what it has to offer curious souls like me. I am sure most of you would say that I have come to the right place 
Anywho:
What is the compression ratio of a stock LS-1?
What is the HP rating of a 98 Camaro SS?
my friend is going to be getting one(98 LS-1 Camaro), however he doesnt know what internals he will have to get if its a higher mileage engine. He plans on staying N/A so what would be a good rod/piston setup for him with a higher compression piston? He might be considering cams down the road so would that affect which pistons he should get?
lastly he wants to get a short shifter, preferably an S-Type, what would be a reputable short throw shifter?
