Default oil change after cam install

What do you guys recommend after a cam install?

I could change it right after the install?

After the install it will be tuned on the dyno, I could wait and do it after that?

Or I could change it right after the install, do the dyno time, then drive it a few hundred miles and dump it again just to be sure.

There is Mobil 1 0w40 in there right but Im switching over to Amsoil after the motor work.

Give me some suggestions

I would fire it up with the oil thats in let it get to full temp then change it and the filter. Then change it again after a couple 100 miles. It might be alittle much but $30 in oil is better that a new moter.

From the replies it seems as if no one changes their oil after a cam install, I sure hope thats not the case

My oil was pretty scary looking with about 5 miles on it after the swap.
It looked the descriptions I've heard of a spun bearing but 10k miles later I'm still in business thank god.
