casting #12550592 block

can this block be bored/honed to 3.905 for forged pistons? tried search with no luck.

I don't know about the bore but it is a 97-mid99 LS1 block with the two small rear oil passage holes instead of one large opening as in later blocks.

So is the block bad? I just got one that still has the rotating assembly I took the heads off and lots of burned carbon. Can I just put the heads on after a clean and get my car running before my rebuild later?
