5.3l - 5.7l ??? Can the iron block 5.3L be bored to the 5.7L 3.900" bore size?? I want to build a stock cubed supercharged 5.7L LS1 but want the strength of an iron block... I already have a 5.3L block and figure it would be easier for me to just have it bored and honed to 3.900" and use the stock crank.

The 4.8/5.3 block can be bored out the max amount to the 3.898"/3.900" range. A couple of people on here have done it. One guy bored it and stroked it to a 382. I think he used the 4.000" eagle crank.
