Default One stripped thread during head install

Help, I have been working on this motor forever. It has been completely rebuilt, and I was nearly done. I am using ARP head studs. One of the very last studs pulled the threads right out of the block.
How in the heck do I fix this? It is so deep into the block before the threads even grab. I believe there is not even a tap for this thread size.

GM has the tools to drop a new thread into the block. it consists of a drill a tap and thread insert. As long as you have working room it takes about 5 minutes and that new thread is better than new. (did it myself once)

All dealers have to have this kit so dont let the service guy say otherwise.

Note the ARP threads are not as compatable as the GM thread and I believe this is why threads get stripped. when you compare the GM thread inserts to the APR studs this becomes obvious.

my buddy asked the same question- what does a dealer do if they strip a thread, no way they are going to scrap the block.

any idea of part number or price?

http://www.toolsource.com/ost/produc...PW93UQRS8LCPKC I think that is the size of the threads for the LS1 head bolts. You need something like that.
