Default How will this type of cam perform....

Hey guys I've been searching the site for a while about a new cam that I want to get, and I was thinking about this.....228/230 on a 108 or 110. The only problem is that I dont know what lift to run it on in order to get the best power in mid-high rpm. As of now I have a 224 224 114 and its not that impressive anymore now that I have my new mods (sig), I want something that will wake up my motor with the new stuff. If anyone knows of a great cam but doesnt have high lift please let me know. I have duel springs and I dont want to change those things out every few thousand miles. Thanks guys

You'll pick up lots of mid-range torque by narrowing your LSA to 110. If you go to 108LSA, be prepared to do a speed density tune for best street manners. Also, make sure you don't put in much if any advance to the cam. At those narrow LSAs, it won't need it.

With little to no advance, your top-end power will be superb too.

it's funny how you sparked the 110 lsa explosion, patrick. i've been asking sponsors and cam grinders for months about 110 and narrower LSAs for an ls1, and they've all told me that 110 is too narrow for anything but racing.

i'm to the point i'm going to say the hell with it and get what i want..

Since you say the 110 is a good lsa for power, what should I do about the lift?? Im still not quite sure which numbers to go with, considering that i dont want to change the springs out every few thousand miles. Any ideas?
