If my car is cold, makes some back fires !!!

Default If my car is cold, makes some back fires !!!

Whene the car is cold and after 2000 RPM makes some a back fire <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> , and after 20 mins every thing came back as good as, befor i rebuild the engine ... the car was good i mean without any back fires ?

Thanks </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I'm going to assume you have some sort of exhaust on your car, because more than likely, your car would make little backfire-type sounds before, you just may have never noticed it.

All cars run richer when theyre cold, and that extra fuel makes it into the exhaust where it will explode and make a popping noise, which sound like backfires.

I really doubt your engine is actually backfiring though. If it was, you would have some serious internal problems and it wouldnt go away when it warms up.
