Default 400 HP Question

My goal 400 to 410 rwhp and pass the sniff test too boot.

Parts I already own:

LS6 243 stock heads and complete with sodium valves (under 2000 miles)

(New Parts)
LS6 intake
LS6 block
Steel crank
Scat H beam rods
Comp 918 springs
Titanium retainers
Thunder TR224 cam 224/224 563/563 114 lsa
Forged Mahle flat tops w/ 4cc relief
Fidanza Aluminum flywheel

Drivetrain components:

TKO 600 RR
Centerforce dual friction
8.8 IRS w/ ford racing true track and 3.55’s

Chassis 1993 RX7 R1 with curb weight @ 2700 lbs.

Here’s the question: Is this combo going to yield 400 hp min to the ground with torque coming in around 380 ftlbs.

I can have Texas Speed port these heads but would that be in conflict with the TR224 cam (too small)?
Then if go to a bigger cam it is pretty unlikely to pass emissions testing, yes or no?
Is there a realistic option other than porting the heads to achieve the goal of 400 to 410 rwhp and use almost all the components I already own?

if youre sticking with stock ls6 heads.. why dont you just get a cam thats works well on stock heads but is a lot bigger say something in the mid to upper 230 range.. it costs just as much, drivablity can be the same, and more power.. PM one of the tsp guys.. ive been told the 233/239 is good on stock heads and is a moderate cam.. they also have a 231/237 but i was told to go with the 233

well, it depends what State you live in, if you have the sniffer test that cam is about as big as you can go, but if you live in an ODBII testing state, go much bigger

I live in Austin Texas and from what I have witnessed 1996 and newer vehicles require an OBDII test and a sniff test.

1995 and earlier vehicles require a sniff test only and are not hooked up to any scan tool.

I think as far as the State of Texas is concerned its just a 1993 Twin Turbo Rotary RX7 which is a very dirty little engine.

What I’m not sure about is there a different standard released for different engines across the board in any one given model year?

I don't see you making less than 400 hp with your setup. I mean a stock ls6 with headers and a tune can make almost 400 hp, and you basically have that with a little bigger cam, so if you wanted you might even be able to go smaller. Just get some Random Tech cats if you are worried about the sniffer, they only cost a few hp , maybe, and will keep you legal with a visual inspection as well.

Good Luck, and where are you building this beast?
