How bad is this? (pic)
This is with the valve at full lift...notice the location of the rocker tip on the valve...looks like it is resting on the valve edge. These are the 1.8 LS7 exhaust rockers....with these rockers, it puts my lift to around .560
Am I asking for trouble wearing out the edges on my valves?

Pushrod length affects geometry.
Remember, the LS7 heads require different pushrods vs the LS1/2/6, because it's an 11 degree head. The rockers sit offset to start with. Running a 7.4" length pushrod is fine for a 15 degree rocker, but you don't have that. You'll have to go with a shorter pushrod to correct the geometry.

Well...actually they are pedestal mounted with bolts holding them down....

they wouldnt be on my car That is one way how you get the 1:8 ratio.
The rocker arm length (from the fulcrum point) on the valve side is longer then the stock one.
The other way is to shorten the length on the rocker arm pushrod side.
Problem there is how close to the pushrod hole edge do you want to get?

For what it is worth I run these on my ZO6 with a 7.400 pushrod on Dart 225 heads. I don't recall how far mine were forward, but they were a bit forward, his look a bit extreme, I will see if I have any pictures of mine and the geometry.
There are several guys running these with I believe more than 5,000 miles on them. I have about 400 on mine breaking the motor in.

..so from the look of my setup, should I ditch these & put my 1.7 stockers back on?... I just don't want to screw up the outsides of my valves after a few thousand miles.
Those rockers are from the LS7, which comes with 11* valve angles. Perhaps the 4* difference is why it looks about .125 off the tip. I guess they arent a drop in replacement like everyone claims. I too would go back to 1.7's and start planning a cam.
