Stock LS1 Heads

i'm curious just how good my stock heads are. a friend of mine says he has some heads that would fit on my car and are "375hp" heads. i am thinking that the stock ls1 heads would put these to shame with a port and polish job but i just wanted to see what you guys thought.

Sounds like an SLP thing to me. Although they use AFR heads.

so am i right though about those heads being pointless? i read somewhere on here stock ls1 heads can support a 400rwhp car pretty well with a port/polish job.

LS1 heads flow over 250cfm intake stock. That is more than a lot of heads making way more than 400 NA whp.

i dont want to be afraid to lose in a race with just about anything on the street, cept bikes. i think around 400-450whp would be plenty. that should put me at a fairly respectable low 12's in the 1/4 too. those are my short term goals.
