Default yes..another t rex question

i tried searching but couldn't find the answer i'm looking for. my question for the guys with the t rex is how much low end did you guys lose and do you have any problems on the high way in 6th gear...basically like just cruising around, etc. i have stage 2 heads, 12 bolt w/ 4.10s, 90mm intake a tb, etc. i had a TR 230/236 but am trying the t rex.

thanks

I actually do have a little trouble. Anything below 2200 in 6th, it surges. 5th I can get down to 2000, but below that it gets violent. Probably could be fixed with some more tuning time. I couldn't feel and loss in power though and I don't have a before dyno sheet.

With a good tune, the t-rex can be made to turn 6th below 2000 without any issues. But to get that good tune, you will need a good dyno tune. I doubt even a mail order tune from Thunder Racing would be good enough.

Good luck fitting the TREx in there with the stage 2 heads. You will most likely have to flycut the pistons.

My car is untuned, and it will cruize at 65 mph in 6th all day, with 4.11's and a 28" tall tire.

the work is getting done by f body central. we know we're going to have to flycut the pistons and they have an in-shop dyno to do the dynotune with. hopefully things will turn out good. thanks for all the input.
