Default Cam question...

Just trying to figure out how more lift on a cam (600 vs. 570) effects the power, and also what a lower lsa (110 vs. 114) does . I know it all effects where the power range is and how high u can rev it......Please help me out guys, trying to come up with a custom grind. Thanx

Not 100% sure on the lift but the LSA is the angular displacement between the center lines of the intake and exhaust lobe. When you increase the LSA overlap is decreased and the other way around. A wide LSA will give you a smooth idle a broad torque curve. A tight LSA will give you more of a choppy idle because you are increasing the overlap, make more power but your power band will be narrower (how narrow depends on how tight the LSA) and more "peaky" What kind of cam are you thinking about? This will help in determing the correct LSA. I think I went to the track with you a couple weeks ago I got the SOM SS?
