Default Shimming PRC springs?

I have a custom cam from Ed Curtis, and will be using PRC double springs. I called up Texas Speed and they sayed that shimming isn't required with their valve springs. I thought that shimming or not depended on the cam. Ed Curtis told me the preferred spring pressure is 140-145 on the seat, so should I shim them or not? Ed Curtis doesn't realy know the specs of the PRC valve springs, so assuming they have 130 at 1.800 they probably will need to shimmed .030" to get the pressures up to 145#. Does this sound right?
What should I tell the machine shop that is assembling them for me.
thanks

I would probally take the advice of the people that make the spring. I have the same spring and no shimming required.
