Will GM head gaskets hold a H/C + 150 shot??
I am going to be buying gaskets soon and need to know what to buy.
I am also looking at the ARP head bolts instead of the GM ones.
Thanks for the help.

Stock ones will hold. There is a guy here in Vegas (SSValet) running MMS heads, MMS 229 cam, and a TNT 150. He has had good luck with them so far.
I dynoed 656 RWHP on my 99 hawk with stock head gaskets..Blew a motor but never a head gasket.. The car made 400 RWHP with a #7 pump vigilante and the rest of the HP came from the JUICE!!
I think the gaskets should hold with no problem. The arp bolts are better then stock but you may want to consider head studs. Kinda pricey but reusuable and stronger then a bolt. I plan to use arp studs and cometic gaskets.
To put the head studs in though wouldn't i have to pull the motor??
Also how much are the Comectic gaskets??

Josh,
Speed Inc. sells a kit which has the Cometic gaskets and ARP studs for $389.99. The gaskets by themselves are $72.00ea. I lifted one of my heads last week end and I'm getting ready to order the combo kit tomorrow.

Take a look on Justin's website (Jsears8) for pics of when we installed his GTP stage 2 heads with ARP head studs.
