I just got my LS6 heads ported and I noticed there is an "A" on one intake runner on each head. There is also a chunk missing on one exhaust runner on each head. The porter says these are casting marks but I've never seen these before. Can anyone else confirm this? I can post pics when I get home.

i have an E on mine in one port on each head also..Its right in the area of the injector boss.I dont know what it means

yes, there is an "A" on one intake runner and a "B" on one exhaust runner

Ok thanks. I had never seen this before so I was thinking too much material was taken off to expose those.
