YAHOO! Block Left Today! Finally, things are getting off the ground! One of the guys from the speed shop came by today to pick up my block. It goes to the machinist tomorrow, and will take about 1 week. Then it goes back to the speed shop for assembly, which will take another week.
When the assembled engine arrives back at my shop, the guys told me we could have everything back in the car, running, and tuned with HPTuners in a weekend. Then it's just a matter of scheduling some dyno time, and the 400 mile bedding-in period for the clutch. I went ahead and ordered an aftermarket harmonic balancer...what the hell, no sense in cheaping-out now.
I've been so psyched about this project, I've actually had dreams that the car was done, and I was driving it like a maniac.
My ONLY worry is how the Kooks/ORY/Magnaflow cat-back is going to sound. Okay, it's NOT my only worry...grenading the 10-bolt rear-end enters my mind every once-in-a-while.
