Default Intake duration affect on powerband?

Will a lower intake duration cam like a 220 or 222 have a more off ideal powerband than one with say 230 or 232? Just wondering if the intake duration is one of the main contributers to powerband?

In general yes,
but it's the exact opening & closing events that actually determine power band, not just the total duration alone.

So on a high lsa cam keeping the intake duration lower might save some of the lowend power?

Your going to have to figure in your exhaust valve timing for a accurate picture.
