Default Please double check my setup guys!

This is the setup I am going to be going with pretty soon. I would like for you guys to basically double check my setup and let me know if you see anything I have missed or any other recommendations you guys have. I just want a nice heads/cam package on the car. I won't ever run any boost or nitrous on the car. I just want a solid 11.x, streetable ride. Its not a daily driven car though. I already have all the current bolt ons, all listed in my sig.

TSP 231/237 598/595 112 cam*
TSP PRC LS6 CNC Ported Heads(not doing the CNC valve job)
Precision Race Components Spring Kit
TSP chromemoly 7.4 pushrods
Comp OE lifters or Comp R lifters(havent decided yet)
N-motion LS2 timing chain set
TSP ported LS6 oil pump
ARP head bolts
GM stock head gaskets
GM basic cam bolt and gasket kit
42lb injectors*
Ed Wright tune

*=in possession
TIA for your time and responses

DO NOT get the Comp R's. If you are looking for power, I would deffinately suggest the CNC valve job.

Other than that, it sounds like a good setup to me

Would you recommend sticking with the Comp OE lifters or something else?

There is nothing wrong with Comp R's they are just a little more critical on set up. I have had the Comp R for quite some time and have not had any troubles with them. I have also installed quite a few sets of them. No problems to date.

Would you recommend going with the Rs or the OEs Jason?

Either one will be fine for your application. I stayin with the R 's because of the style of cam I am runnin. You will be fine with the oem's. Unless later you decide to get a real nasty hyd. roller cam. I just dont like to buy things twice.

This will be the only setup for this car. After the heads/cam, this car is done and I am moving on to a new toy. Thanks for the input Jason.

I would say the biggest majority of those failures were do to people not setting them up properly. There was a bad batch of them. But since then I have not heard of anymore issues. Nor have I seen any.

Seems like the only thing your missing is a ported throttle body..
And I would def recommend the cnc valve job, and some new plugs and wires. And just so I would not have to worry about it, I would send out my rockers and get them reinforced.. some guys on here send them to harland sharpe.
Maybe a set of svo's too around #40.

ya dont get comp R's.....not worth all the hassle to get em right.

Id get the cranes if i were you, but from my exp on this site, ive read of

comp & cranes - basically same ****, expept ive heard of comp failures.
morel - badass expensive lifter
lunati - same as morel, except alot cheaper

dig around some, youll find which one you really like.

my builder got me to keep my comp R's, even when i said i wanted to buy some other ones.

**EDIT** New fuel filter?

TB is on my list to do. I have a set of 42s I failed to list. I put new plugs and MSD wires on when I did my long tubes. I plan to do a Walbro 255 soon as well.

I change my fuel filter every 10k miles. I have put 4,000 miles on the car in 6 months and changed the oil 3 times now

no way you need #40s unless u have forced induction or just a super nasty setup, id go with just #32 injectors u may not even need that..maybe just #30s

He could do the #40 maybe bigger that way if he ever wanted to go forced induction theres few things he has to buy, even though it may come with the kit, but anyways you can always tune it to the right amount anyways right..

And beside I wrote AROUND #40 you know that sometimes means a little less or little more. #36-#38-#42. Any of those would work..

Well you seem to have everything covered really, Now youll just have to worry about that weak link, the 10bolt.. And then later on down the line rebuild the bottom end..
Or shoot for a bigger motor.
