question on head and cam install this weekend

Default question on head and cam install this weekend

If i am removing the heads can i just pull the lifters right out or
should i get the 5/16 dowel and use that and leave them in
and what are the dimensions for the longer crank pulley bolt

Might as well pull them out if the heads are off.

Yea, what he said. If your doing it all at the same time just take the heads off first and then the lifters and then the cam after. No sense in messing with dowels when you dont have to.
