Strange noise...??
Strange noise...?? This is not another thread about ticking at idle. I have just noticed a strange ticking and part throttle when Im driving down the road. It ticks no matter what gear I am in. It almost sounds like electricity. If it matters, I just got rid of my AIR system. Thanks!!!

Its a part throttle, only when engine is warmed up, type of noise.

I've come to some type of conclusion on my situation, its either crappy gas,cats breakin up or just good old detonation. I am giong to be putting headers/ypipe cats soon and then a tune. I will see what happens from there. My situation is only when its humid out and under part throttle/low rpm. I have no pinging. The car drives great other than the audible noise.

In any case, please update me when you get the headers/ypipe/cats on...I'd also like to rule out the cats if that fixes your problem.
I'm running SLP LT's with thier high flow cats.
What LT and cats are you going with?
