Default No spark issue

My problem with my 2000 Z began with hard starting. Sometimes it would take 4 or 5 times of cranking/stopping before my car started. Then, I was waiting at a light one day and the car died with no hope of restarting. I've got good fuel pressure. Checked for spark and I'm not getting any. I never got an SES either. So, from what I've read it seems like it could be the crankshaft sensor, cam sensor, maybe a relay. Anything else? Can I rule any of these out? If I understand correctly, it will still start, but run bad with a bad cam sensor. How can I check these sensors? With a volt/ohm meter? I also read something about the tach working or not working when cranking. Well, if it matters or helps, I checked and the tach didn't register anything while cranking.

Thanks for any help and let me know if ya need more info!
