Default Air/Fuel guage??

Not sure if this is the right forum, but is an air/fuel guage a good investment?? I see a lot of people selling them, and I'm just trying to figure out why.

Not if the signal you are tapping into is the narrowband O2 sensor. If that's the case, you'll get a light show. I have an AFR gauge, but I have a wideband O2 sensor in the exhaust full time. I wouldn't leave home without it.

How do I know which sensors I have?

Unless you bought and installed a wideband, you have narrowband sensors. Those tell you next to nothing (all they do is oscillate between 0-1V at stoich values).

I figured since he didn't know which he had it would be the NB, because basically you can't just go out and buy WB sensors and toss them in as replacement of the NB sensors without doing some rewiring. AFAIK
