Default Need Help Quick with Katec Rod Bolts

I am in the process of changing to the Katec rod bolts. I have everything down and just took out the first rod bolt. Along with the rod bolt came a threaded insert. Does that insert need to go on the new bolts or can I dicard them?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You're welcome. It's good that you asked, cuz I think the other guy screwed his whole motor up by leaving them in.

Man that would suck! To get that far on something and then have something happen to the motor.

BTW thank you again for your help, the bolts are now in and the car will start going back together tomorrow after I get off of work.

Ferrules, discard them and trq 50lbs, that is it.
Do not remove the cap from the rods and only do 1 bolt at a time.
