Default 370 or 402????

So i hydrolocked my motor the other night in a crazy storm and now insurance is helping me fund a new motor. An iron 370 shortblock will be around 200-300 cheaper than an iron 402 so that is an upside to the 370. What i would like to know is what gas mileage differences would i see between these two motors as this will be my daily driver seeing 15k+ miles a year. Also around what power levels would i acheive with a mild cam and stock heads as this will be a budget build. TIA.

Through TSP it is only a few hundred difference. They do sell a forged 348 ls6 for around 2800. I wonder why the LQ4 block is so much more expensive, or is it the pistons/rods. Cant see why either would add up to be $400-500 more.
