Sorry about the somewhat dumb question, but I've recently rejoined the LS1 world after a seven year hiatus with the purchase of a 99 Corvette. I'm working on a map of what I need to do to get the car to where I want (looking for over 400 to the ground WITHOUT a gargantuan cam).
From the digging I've done, plenty of LS6 guys are getting 410-430 to the ground with a cam only swap, so what I'm considering is simply a swap to LS6 head along with a cam (in addition to bolt on's, ect).
But a thought struck me and I haven't found a really explanatory answer. When compared side by side, how do the LS1/LS6/LS2 heads stack up?? Are the LS2 the same castings as the LS6?? How about the manifold?
Thanks everyone.
