H/C package? Cam guru's please help.
H/C package? Cam guru's please help. I have been reading a lot and need some help putting a combo together. My main constraint is budget and would like to keep it below $2500. I need heads, cam, pushrods, dual springs, retainers and locks. I know I should get the PRC dual spring kit and hardened pushrods. I will be getting a LS6 oil pump and LS2 timing chain, but left this in a different portion of the budget.
My car:
'71 Chevelle 3500lb
'02 LS1/T56 - Centerforce Flywheel and Ram Dual Friction Clutch
12-bolt 3.31's for now will upgrade later to 3.90+

Car is weekends only. Track once a month.
I want a streetable package which means I'm open to almost anything. Good low end torque, aggressive idle w/ 6800rpm max. I like the Patrick G, lots of area under the curve or similar. Somewhere around 430rwhp.
I need help w/ cam specs and a head choice. LS6 CNC, 5.3's, ... I think AFR's are out of my budget.
This combo will get some N2O eventually, but doesn't need to drive cam choice.
What size injectors will I need w/ this?

TSP has some awsome new LSK lobed H/C packages for around 1600 buckaroos.
Those cams were designed with their head specs and are a match made in heaven for the price. Comp cam, LS2/LS6 243 casting, PRC duals, CNC ported, the whole shabang.
