Default quick cam questions

Ok i bought a cam for my car from lg motorsports, its a 238/242 .600/.610 114+2 cam and i was just wondering if i need lifters...the shop said it wasnt necessary i only have 20,000 mi on the car i am gettin springs, rods, gaskets, retainers, seals, etc. but he didnt tell me to get lifters.....jus wondering your thoughts on this....also i was wonderinga bout doing roller rockers however, he told me that i shouldnt do that as well b/c it would increase the lift of the cam to much so my question is should i do rockers and if so what ratio or if not why is this a bad idea i am trying to learn about all this stuff but somethings still stump me

thanks much for all the responses
