Default Custom cam help

I want to do a custom grind cam. I currently have a TR224, but it’s nothing special. I was looking at something around a 230/228, and .581/588 on a 112 lsa. On the intake eccentric, would it be better to run more intake duration than exhaust since it’s not under high pressure? On the exhaust eccentric, would it be better to run less duration and more lift than the intake since the exhaust is under high pressure. Seems like on a lot of aftermarket camshafts that the torque is a lot lower than the horsepower. I’m not sure if less duration and more lift on the exhaust would help with the backpressure to get the torque up a little more. I also would like to pull from 2500 rpm's and up, not only pull hard in the real high rpm range.

I have a set of KOOK headers coming in and will put them on this winter. I want to do a cam swap at the same time so I only have to do a dyno tune once. I’m hoping for 410+ rwhp and 400+ rwft, may have to go with a Fast 90/90 set-up to get those numbers.

How do you figure out were a cam will put your power range?

No advice?? The main thing I want to now is the RPM range with this cam. I'm looking for 410+rwhp and 400+rwtq, in the range of 2000-6000rpm.

I would think a cam like the F11 from Futral Motorsports would be up your alley. Maybe a F13 (230/232).

well if it were me i wouldn't run anything that has more intake duration than exhaust. That's *** backwards from how everybody does it other than ls1 people for some reason. If you want something with an intake duration around 230 i'd probably go with an exhaust duration around ah say 4 to 6 degrees bigger. And probably something with a little more intake lift than exhaust lift.
