Default rocker?

Hey guys, we'll since I bought my LS1 a month or so ago ive noticed when I sit in the car with the windows up and radio off I can hear the ever so slightly. Since yesterday it started making a slightly louder noise, definitly audible with the hood open. I had 3 guys from my work ( Livernois) look at it and they all said 95% sure its a rocker.

If it was a rocker starting to go and assuming im going to find needle bearings in my oil, would this also cause my gas mileage to decrease? Ive noticed in the past 1-2 weeks my gas mileage has gone done alot, and overall power decrease.

Probably going to try to find some stock ones laying around the shop and open it up tuesday to find out the news

A rocker could be on the way out, that is the noise you hear. There may not be bearings in the oil if it hasnt 'blown' them yet.

If one has gone out, what's to say another wont? Just food for thought, but I'd consider getting them rebuilt. (Harland Sharpe, via NastyPerformance)

Do you think you will be able to see which one is broken / mature wear?

I think it would be alright to do it, especially if you are running a stock cam, but if you plan on upgrading in the future, I wouldn't do it.

A guy on here once told me that is the worst place to skimp on....and I realized how right that is.
