Default Throwing code now that 408 is tuned

hey everyone, i just got my HPE 408 tuned and now it is throwing a P0106 code, for the MAP..

its got a fairly large cam and runs just fine, just throws the code every now and then, not a constant problem.

so what would cause this?? lack of vacuum??? is this caused by the cam? how do i fix it? is it just something i will have to deal with when going to a cam this large?

249/254 615/619 on a 110.9 LSA custom ground TR cam.

any ideas? this is the only code the engine is throwing now, and like i said, it runs sweet and idles perfect with no problems.

its prolly due to the cam, as you suspect.
your tuner can adjust the MAP ranges that will throw the code so it doesn't go off anymore.

could just be that the pcm is not seeing the vaccum it would normally see? or maybe the map sensor got damaged?

if the sensor was damaged I would expect it to show codes more often, not just once in a while.

yeah, it seems like it does it after a WOT run when i back off and its coming down and idling again, it drops to like 900 RPM's for a split second then comes right back up to 1050 which is where it idles... so im guessing its dropping down to low RPM's and losing vacuum and throwing the light?? it seriously only does it once in a blue moon... my light will come on and then be off when i start the car the next time.. but it stores it as a history code in my DIC..
