Pushrod length?
The heads: Unmilled Patriot Stage 3 heads, with a 0.054" gasket
The lifters: Comp 850-16 (OE replacement)
The shortblock: Shouldn't matter, but it's an LS2 402 (eagle crank)
I had 7.400" pushrods in, and asked the tuner to check lifter preload. They installed 7.450" pushrods. The engine builder (who I couldn't get a hold of last week, but talked to today) thinks 7.400" is right, and has never heard of using anything as long as 7.450".
Thanks,
Miles
PS: I'm really hoping 7.400" is right, because as-is, the car only made 407 peak rwhp
. That's in a C5 with stainless works 1 3/4" long tubes, but stock cats, stock h-pipe, stock mufflers. LS6 intake manifold and big K&N cone air filter, but stock air bridge, stock MAF, and stock throttle body. I was hoping for ~450rwhp, I figured the intake and exhuast would cost quite a bit of power, but I never expected 407rwhp. I don't have the graph or any numbers besides peak hp, I'll talk to the tuner again tomorrow and try to get the dyno chart.PPS: I'm thinking of adding high-flow cats, an X-pipe, and Z06 titanium mufflers, and also a Halltech Stinger intake. Any guesses on how much that should help?
