Default cam install

Looking at some cams and was woundering what would be involved in putting one in. Also with the computer do you need to reprogram or will it be ok.

check out this install guide:

It will probably run without reprogramming the PCM, but to run well, you WILL need a tune. You won't take advantage of the gains from the cam without it.
My car was especially sluggish at low RPM without tuning. (224/224 .581/.581 112 LCA cam)

Yep, that's the guide I used.

I put in a Comp 222/224@112lsa and it DEFINITELY needed to be re-tuned to suit.

It would idle rough/stall and play up before tune.....

After tune.....

Cheers,

Macca
