Default bottom end

when someone refers to the bottom end...


That would be:

Crank, connecting rods, and pistons.... correct?

Yes, basically anything other than the heads, cam and valvetrain. I think of the bottom end as everything that comes in a shortblock. When someone says a stock bottom end, i consider the block, main caps, studs, rodbolts, etc. all as parts of the bottom end.
