Cost for cam and install? In a high mileage 130k to be exact 98 z28 camaro auto.
what cam to run? waht mods to run with the cam?
i plan to have the tranny rebuilt. and a cam installed.
the car will be driven on the street alot..in traffic sometimes.
the main thing we are looking for is that loppy sound.
what would be the best route to get the best sound? and keep it streetable?

The car needs to breath good for a cam. Headers, exhaust, and intake shoud be upgraded before the cam install. Cams can run anywhere from $300-$500, and your going to need new valve springs, especially with that many miles. Installs on cams just depends on where you take it. I had mine put in with new valve springs for $450. But was quoted at $650+ at other shops. As far as the loping, the more lope you have, the less "streetable" it is as far as I'm concerned.
