Cam install, Do I need these??
Im gonna replace the (ofcourse) Springs and pushrods.
Do i need new lifters, or new rockers????
Im putting in a pulley and oil pump aswell as a timing chain.
You think ill be ok with my stock lifters and rockers??
You're getting a cam, just save up for a set of decent heads after you put your cam in and change them at that time.
I beat on my old motor pretty good with 90k on it. It had heads and cam since 40k with the stock lifters and never had a problem.
.what size cam you putting in anywhooo? that plays a role in what supporting parts you need. thought you said it was a smaller one so you should be fine with hardened pushrods, springs, retainers and what not.

jeeze, why does comp feel they need to add so much lift to their cams??? .585 on a 228? and their 224 is a .581. My tsp 233 239 barely hit .600. Even the TR 224 is only .560.
918's are supposed to be good to .600, but why chance it. I wouldnt use them over .560 or so. Doubles aren't that much more.
you might want to consider a slightly smaller cam maybe a 222 or 224, but then you really wont get the "idle" lope sound your looking for. I have a 228 and mine is slightly noticeable. if i had to do it again i would have probably gone with a 230 or more, but im happy with what i got. Whatever cam you get, its all about the tune
G-force is great choice, right down the road from me, heard nothing but good things
