LS6 push rods?

LS6 push rods? Ok this is the deal. I have an LS6 cam in my car and have the stock push rods that cam with my car. Now I have been reading that when you do the swap you need to get LS6 push rods since they are 0.100 longer...is this true? I hope someone can help out here. Thanks in advance.
Nope, LS6 pushrods are the same as the LS1's. The difference of the two engines is made up in the valve length. If you want to do it right, you could either get a longer pushrod, or the LS6 valves. Or, as long as your pushrods are not so short that they don't compress the lifter at all, then you could keep running the stock ones.
The reason you can do this is because once the lifter is running, it will take care of itself as long as it doesn't let the pushrod go free.
The best thing about switching to the LS6 valves is the 27 grams per intake valve that you gain in weight savings. This will ultimatly be the longest lasting combo.

yes LS6 and sotck LS1 rods are identical.....I have a pic of both of them side by side..But yes the valves are different. If were you id buy some LS6 heads to go with it and get them worked over well at a shop. But I understand thats quite a bit of money so maybe not.
