So I changed the oil back on 6/6/2006 and made this thread....

finally began tearing her apart to find the problem.

Pistons are ok.... rods...not so much.

This looks fixable from this point of view... right?

I think the "where the oil" question was directed at the fact that plug looks really dry and the metal particles on it look untouched. It was a good point. So, why is that plug so dry?

why does the inside of that motor look like it's coated in varnish? Mine came apart after 5 years, and it didn't have any of that on it. Granted teh mielage was low, but that still doesn't look good.
