CLunk?

Been noticing a clunking sound when my car shifts from first to 2nd gear...happens alot more when its cold out. bascially even if im giving like 30% accel the shift has a big clunk sound right under me. Dont think it has anything to do with the tranny cause its has no problems with firmess and shifts like a beast. ive never been able to actually catch the ground when gunning until sometime in 2nd gear. Still using the stock driveshaft on my 408 possibly the problem?

Could be your transmission mount. Easy fix.

Or it could be part of your Y pipe hitting the floor. I've had that problem in the past aswell.

same thing happened to me with only 20k on the car, my tranny mount was shredded to peices. very easy fix, get a poly mount for like 40bux................

i just had the new tranny put in about 3 months ago wouldnt u think they changed the mount with it already? but ill try it anyway for 40$ dollars can I do this myself is it that easy? its not the ypipe hitting the floor it has good clearance my headers actual are lower.
