What are your goals for the motor? N/A, FI, Nitrous. I had my motor rebuilt and it was over 1k cheaper than buying a shortblock, but I wanted to stay stock bottom end.

Send it out to a performance shop for a rebuild. Most will build your motor according to what you want to do with it. Crate motors are usually built to suit a variety of needs and may not be ideal for what you want.

I am seeking @ 400-450 HP. I have the motor out right now and it is torn down. I had bad cam bearings.45,000 mi. I already purchased a supermaxx exhust and a new LS7 clutch. Im thinking about new pistons , complete valvetrain and a set of the LS6 CNC heads. I havent talked to a machine shop yet. Just wondering what people are doing.

Send it out to a shop and save money. Why do you want new pistons? more compression, N2O? You should be fine with the stockers just mill the heads and put a thinner head gasket if you want more comp. and if you want to spray the stock ones are fine for more than a 150 shot. Just get a rebuild, rings, bearings, ARP rod bolts etc..
